Recruiting a new post-doctoral fellow. Please contact

Ziv Gan-Or

Assistant Professor

Ziv has completed his MD and PhD (focused on Parkinson's disease genetics) at Tel-Aviv University, and his post-doctoral studies at McGill University. Assistant professor at the Neurology & Neurosurgery and the Human Genetics departments.

Konstantin Senkevich

Post Doctoral fellow

Konstantin is a neurologist who completed his MD at the First Pavlov State Medical University of St. Petersburg and his PhD at the Institute of Experimental Medicine in St. Petersburg. He is studying the role of lysosomal genes in RBD and PD.

Prabhjyot Saini

PhD student

Prabhjyot has completed his MSc in Emory University and served as a Senior Associate at the Department of Neurology in Emory University. He is using advanced statistical methods to study the genetics of RBD and PD

Yuri Sosero

PhD student

Yuri has completed his MD at the University of Bologna, School of Medicine and Surgery. He is studying the role of genetics in PD and specifically focuses on modifiers of GBA in PD.

Georgina Ambriz

Georgina completed her PhD in biology at the Université de Montpellier II, France, and her MSc in bioinformatics at the Université de Montréal. Before changing to bioinformatics, Georgina was an Associate Professor at the Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico. Georgina is now applying multiple bioinformatic tools to study neurological disorders.

Jennifer Ruskey

Research Assistant

Jennifer has graduated at Princeton University, and performed her MSc studies at the University of British Columbia in evolutionary biology. She works on the genetics of PD, RBD, RLS and HSP.

PhD Student

Mehrdad has completed his MSc studies in Iran, and he is currently a PhD candidate. He studies the genetics of hereditary spastic paraplegia using whole-exome, whole-genome and RNA sequencing

Mehrdad Asghari Estiar
Etienne Leveille

Medicine Student

Etienne is a 3rd year medical student from Quebec city at McGill University. He is working on different projects in PD and HSP.

Emma Somerville

MSc student

Emma graduated at the University of Western Ontario with Honours BSc in Genetics and Psychology. She is studying how common and rare genetic variants affect glucocerebrosidase activity and expression in PD.

Saeid Amiri

Saeid completed his PhD in statistics at the Uppsala University (Sweden), and during the years has developed several bioinformatic and statistical tools for different areas of research. He is now working on different neurological diseases and tool development for their research.

Lynne Krohn

PhD Student

Lynne studied the effects of early-life adversity on development at Columbia University. More recently, Lynne worked on a music and craving study at the University of Melbourne's Clinical and Music Neurosciences Laboratory. Her projects are focused on genetics of RBD and PD.

Eric Yu

PhD Student

Eric has completed his undergraduate studies in McGill University, where he majored in biochemistry. His project is focused on using bioinformatic and machine learning approaches to understand the genetics of PD

Farnaz Asayesh

Lab technician

Farnaz completed her MSc in chemistry in Laval University. She is using various genetic methods to study Parkinson's disease, dementia with Lewy bodies, multiple system atrophy and REM sleep behavior disorder.

Cem Parlar

Undergraduate student

Cem is a U3 undergraduate student doing his B.Sc. Neuroscience Major at McGill University. His project is focused on characterizing GBA mutations involved in PD

Vlad Rudakou

Research assistant

Vlad completed his MSc in our lab, with a thesis focused on identifying common and rare variants in genes involved in Parkinson's disease. Until he starts med school, Vlad is working in different genetic projects on Parkinson's disease and REM sleep behavior disorder.
